1. Fenugreek or Fenugreek Seeds:

 Fenugreek seeds help lower blood sugar by absorbing carbohydrates and slowing down digestion. These are high in soluble fiber and hence reduce blood sugar levels and improve the glucose tolerance capacity of the body. Fenugreek seeds contain saponins that reduce the absorption of cholesterol from fatty foods. About 100 grams of fenugreek seeds can contribute significantly in reducing bad cholesterol and triglycerides.
