  Ingredients to make Dal Makhani (four-person)


                      500 gm black whole urad (black lentils)

                      50 g rajma (Red beans)

                      1/4 tsp baking soda

                      3 tomatoes

                      3-4 green chilies

                      1 piece ginger

                       3-4 tsp butter

                       2 tsp desi ghee

                       1-2 pieces asafoetida

                       1-2 tsp cumin

                       1/4 tsp fenugreek

                       1/4 tsp turmeric powder

                       1/4 tsp red chili powder

                       1/4 tsp Garam Masala

                        Salt to taste


How to make Dhal Makhani


            Soak rajma (Red beans) and urad (black lentils) in water the night before the day you want to make Dal Makhani.

The next day, when you have to make dal makhani, wash the soaked rajma (Red beans) urad (black lentils)s) thoroughly with clean water. Now put it in the cooker, if you want, you can also add some salt, add water according to the requirement and keep the cooker on the stove.

 After the pressure is released, open the cooker and see if the urad (black lentils)s) rajma (Red beans) is cooked well or not, also see that they have become soft, give a little mash.

After doing this, take a pan, put oil in it and put cumin seeds in it, when it becomes hot, add onion and fry it, when its colour becomes lightly golden, then add ginger, garlic, and green chilli etc. and fry it. When frying add turmeric, coriander, salt, and garam masala and fry it.

Now mix all the spices well and add tomatoes to it and fry till the tomatoes becomes too soft. When the tomatoes become sofe and the mixture is fried well, add boiled urad (black lentils)s) and rajma (red beans) to it.

Now add some water to this mixture and cook it. When it gets cooked a little, then add butter or cream to it and mix it well. After leaving it like this for some time, switch off the gas. Your hot dal makhani is ready.
