In Google Drive, you can create forms for your customers, website visitors or friends to fill out. You will then receive the results clearly in a table and can, for example, directly create a diagram from them. First, open Google Drive , log in, and then click "NEW" on the far left.
Then select "More" and click on "Google Forms".
Now you can edit the new form. In the next paragraph we will give you some tips and show you the first steps.
Google personal information form
In the first paragraph you should enter the title of your form and you can use it to welcome the participant to the online form. Alternatively, you can start right away with socio-demographic information such as name and age.
To create a form field, click the "plus" icon on the right (see image).
Then you can choose the type: should it be a short answer or a long answer? Should a year be entered or should a cross be made on a scale? Depending on your preference, select the question type by clicking on "Multiple Choice Question" and choosing a different type from the drop-down menu.
If you click on the switch next to "Required", the participant must enter an answer. Before that, he cannot go to the next section.
You can also embed images and YouTube videos in the form using the small toolbox (see image).
When you have all the questions, images and videos related to the first topic (e.g. personal details), click on "New Section" in the toolbox. Then you can move on to the next topic in the new section.
Scales on a form are especially popular:
For "Multiple Choice Question" select "Linear Scale". Then you can determine from where to where the scale should go.
Optionally, the two poles can be named - for example 1 with "bad" and 10 with "super". This helps when filling out so that the survey participants do not get confused.
If you have also entered all questions, images and videos here, you can click on "New section" in the toolbox.
Complete and publish Google form
Once you have all the questions, click the gear icon at the top.
Then select "Presentation" and enter a confirmation text here. This is displayed to the participant as soon as he has filled out and sent the form.
Finally, click on "Send" in the top right corner and now enter the email addresses of the recipients.
Alternatively, you can click the paperclip for the link next to "Send via" and the two square brackets to embed it on your webpage.
